Pamban beach which is located in Pamban island is an offbeat tourist destination in Rameswaram. The beach is one of the important fishing ports in Rameswaram and offers amazing views of the azure waters that stretch around the island.

Pamban Island lies in the westmost region of Rameswaram and is the largest island in Tamil Nadu. It is located between the Indian peninsula and Sri Lanka and is connected to the mainland via the Pamban bridge.

Pamban beach is a quiet spot that offers tranquil views of the beach, fishing boats sailing away, and also the nearby islands. It is located at the beginning of the Indira Gandhi road bridge or the Pamban road bridge.

The beach has a children’s park, huts and also facilities for recreational and water activities like kitesurfing, stand-up paddling, etc. There are also seafood joints around the beach that offer mouth-watering delicacies. The nearby attractions to Pamban beach include Ramanathaswamy temple, Dhanushkodi Beach, Pamban Bridge, Agni Theertham and many more.

November to March is considered the best time to visit the Pamban beach.
