Don’t you want to see the look-alike structures of our freedom fighters?, the people whom we admire and look up to? The Wax museum in Ooty is an infotainment spot that offers an ideal break from natural sightseeing.

How about clicking a photo with an Indian freedom fighter or the former U.S. President Barack Obama in Ooty? Does that excite you? Then head to the Wax museum, developed from the then 130-year old colonial mansion on the Ooty- Coonoor road,  located just about two kilometers away from Ooty city.

This museum, inaugurated in 2007, has beautiful statues of freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subash Chandra Bose, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Gopal Krishna Gokhale. It also has the wax statues of former American President Barack Obama, Former Indian President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, renowned personalities like Chhatrapati Shivaji, Rabindranath Tagore, VishveshwaryaMother Theresa.
